Kop Hill Climb

The weekend of the 19th and 20th of September saw the running of the now, annual Kop Hill Climb. This event is a demonstration rather than a true competitive event. It is a recreation of an event that was run from 1910 until 1925 when an accident involving spectators led the RAC to ban racing on public roads.

T-Register ‘T’ Party

Sunday, August 2nd was a ‘non-register organised event’ as we were invited to the T-Register’s T-Party at the Shuttleworth Trusts’s Wings & Wheels event, Old Warden Aerodrome.

The weather was perfect, sunshine and light winds. 5 Magnettes attended plus a Magnette owner who, instead of his Magnette, came in the TA which he has just brought back to life.

HARROGATE MG’s 2015

The Magnette Register were invited to join Harrogate MG Club in celebrating their 30th Anniversary event at Bewerely Park Pateley Bridge over the W’Kend of August the 8th / 9th.

On a Glorious Saturday morning a number of Magneteers met up with David Griffiths (Our Magnette Man “up North”), who with Wife Sandra had put together a very informative run with numerous places to visit, prior to meeting up for the Magnette AGM at The Oatlands Moat Club (their local MG natter venue – organised by David at no cost to the Register!)

Quainton Sunday July 12th 2015

On arrival we discovered that the promised area of tarmac had been allocated to another group but the staff at the centre offered us another part of the car park. This was a grass area complete with picnic tables and a private entrance – it was perfect. When the cars were marshalled into position there were 15 MGs lined up including the Farina Magnette of Jeremy Carrington. All other visitors had to pass en-route to the public car park and our cars were the cause of much interest.

MGLive! 20-21st June 2015

There was a better than average Magnette attendance for MGLive! (the main MGCC weekend at Silverstone race circuit), with 18 cars on Saturday and 14 on Sunday. On display in the marquee we had the historic rallying ZA in which Jan Pearce competed for over 20 years.
