every one.

I have brought some new door seals from Clarke spares and fitted them at the weekkend. Could not shut the doors as the rubber is quite firm so had to adjust the catches so they stick out. Hope the rubber will soften over a few weeks. With the arrow head rubber i found that some glue that stick rubber very well. Loctite 480 it sets in about 30 seconds and them will not let go.I used it on the windscreen rubber join and it did not give in even when pulling on the string to fit it.

Thanks for photos on the rubbers Andy

Attached pictures of my believed original door seals showing the clips on the rear O/S door and the foam fillet above the top hinge. The others escaped long ago I think. Should give some idea of how the arrowhead is fitted. Generally fit the arrowhead into the inner corner of the door leaving the shank to make contact with the door frame as best it can. The shank tends to fold flat at the corners and I haven't found a way to prevent this.

I also found some extra foam strips in various places under the lips of the Ramsey seal to improve the fit. Don't know if these were factory original or later fitment.

Have contacted Clarke's who mentioned that on the rear doors there should be two clips to hold the seal in place about the location of the door lock.
Has anybody got any of these or, a picture of them so I can make something suitable??
Maybe also of interest I understand that originally there were some pieces of foam rubber fixed to the door frame in the recess above and below each hinge to seal to the arrowhead when the door is closed.

I can confirm what John has said. I bought arrowhead seal from Clarkespares and it fits correctly. Both "barbs" of the arrowhead are equal in length so there is only one orientation in which it can be fitted.

I also received a small sample of Clarkes Ramsey type door frame seal and can confirm that it is an extremely close match to the original, which I still have on my car. It is "solid" sponge i.e no void, just bubbles with an outer skin.
