I can't answer why no club stand, of course, but a bit of a surprise to see no "real" Z's on any of the various MG Clubs' stands. Plenty of room for a
new small MG & an MG6 dressed up as a BTCC racer. I have no problem with V8 ZT's (in fact I quite lust after one!. It was pretty crowded today, goodness knows what the weekend will be like. Lancaster Insurance must have spent a fortune, they had stands everywhere! For me the most interesting car was a 1948 Riley whose chassis went to Switzerland where it had a body put on by a Swiss coachbuilder & the car is original & in superb condition. It has wooden(!!) bumpers & Perspex panels in the roof! Hall 20, RM Club stand I think. Nice 2.6 on the Riley stand nearby too.

Quite by chance I bumped into John & Lou Shorten at the NEC classic Car show today. We both lamented the fact that there was not one MG Magnette displayed anywhere, or any for sale on the dealer's stands.
Is there no enthusiasm from the Magnette Register to have a club stand at an event like this? My enquiries at one of the club stands led me to believe that no fee is charged to a club, but they do have to pay some other charges for "services" - but this was no more than about £600. The main problem would be the queue to get a club stand - they are always oversubscribed.
Can anyone let me know why we have never tried, or have we tried and just been unsuccessful.
