There's some photos from the MGCC Tyne-Tees Jubilee weekend, to which Magnettes were invited. On the same weekend some Magnettes were at Quainton on the Buckinghamshire Steam Railway, for an MGA Register event. By coincidence three Magnettes were parked together in black, ivory and black/ivory Varitone colours - thanks to Kevin Skuce (owner of the unusual ivory Varitone) and Roger Martin for spotting this
Also please note that the Triumph/MG weekend on 20/21 August has had to be cancelled

Following the recent passing of rally navigator Willy Cave there have been several obituaries published, such as this one. Early in his career he was part of a BMC team competing with 3 Magnettes in the 1955 Monte Carlo rally. Although they were not very successful, Willy later wrote a fascinating account, extracts of which can be found here. He continued in historic rallies right up till 2020, and in 2005 was back in a Magnette for the Winter Trial from Maastricht to Monte Carlo

If you're looking for a closer alternative to the Tyne-Tees Jubilee weekend in August (which the Register is supporting), you may be interested in the Bournemouth MGOC 'Big Day Out' on 7 August, at the Sammy Miller motorcycle museum, to which Magnettes are also invited. Return the entry form by 15 July, and/or contact local Magnette owner Kent Edlund (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) for more information
