This was a great trip. I will try & put a report together with my thoughts on a well organised "do" with a group of really nice people.
From 23/6 to 4/7. 2158 miles at 32mpg. Longest day 380 miles, 1 pint oil, a little water (thanks Dietrich for the loan of an MGA Rad Cap!)cruising at 65-75mph outside temperature up to 29 degrees C. I couldn't find the aircon switch!

if you need any help in finding some some other Motor museums, I know a guy in the Black Forest area with his own new museum, esp. coachbuilt cars like Bentley, RR, Delage...
In Munich the "Deutsche Museum" is highly recommended, it`s like the British Museum, perfect for the whole family!
If you need some accomodation on the trip to Bavaria you are very welcome in our house!

Planning the trip at the moment, we have booked the Hotel though! The Hotel Maria at Bernreid arriving Fri & leaving Mon am.
Trying to work out how many Motor Museums (Porsche/ Daimler Benz etc) I can fit in without Jane noticing!

Just read the info on the Bavaria meeting at the end of June. It just so happens that we were planning to go continental in the Magnette this summer, so will try & make this meeting part of the trip. It is a great part of the world. If any others from UK are thinking of going, perhaps we can liaise.
If you are concerned about blasting down the Autobahns, it is no big deal. We managed well with a motorhome towing a Smart at a steady 65-70 & didn't get in anyone's way! So no problem for a Magnette. Also as an alternative the German "Landstrasse" are very good,:cheer: even if many of them are restricted to 80kmh.
