Hi Leuan

The front engine mounts are quite easy to change but I would recommend the removal of the rad and possibly the diaphragm panel depending on the tools you have available. Undo the nuts top and bottom of the engine mount and then place a reasonably strong piece of wood under the sump and then jack the engine up gently making sure nothing is caught or bending. Remove the engine mount one at a time and replace with new mounting.
If you have a limited jacking height then you can remove the mounting brackets from the engine with the rubber mountings.

The gearbox is easier in some ways except for the need to get under the car,

If you need to chat it through my number is 07977507679, if I don't answer leave a message and I will get back to you,

Kind regards
Trevor Jones

On my early ZA tin top I must finally change the engine mounts, any belly dancer would be jealous of the wobble on tickover. My growing age encourages prudence and therefore I as canvassing for suggestions on the simplest method, without lift or ramps. removal of the rad seems likely, but there is probably a more painless shortcut. I am hoping front mounts will be enough, but maybe I will also have to do the rear gearbox mounts too. All comments gratefully received, and if any member is game to talk this, and a few other problems, through, let me know your number, thanks
